Research an object

Do you have a research project coming up? The Mulvane collection has over 6,000 works from around the world that connect to ideas in many different fields of study. Our staff can help you find an object that will fit your assignment.

Join our student group

The Mulvane Student Advisory Board (MSAB) gives Washburn students a direct voice at the museum. This friendly, low-pressure group advises the Mulvane on everything from social media to events to collection decisions. We’d love to see you there.

Minor with us

In the Museum & Curatorial Studies minor, you'll learn about museums through courses that draw on the Mulvane’s staff and resources. Students of many different majors are represented in the program. Talk to your academic advisor about how this minor could fit into your plan of study.

Work with us

Students who qualify for Federal Work Study can join our team as gallery assistants. Also, if your major requires an internship, you may be able to complete it at the Mulvane. Our interns work in many different areas, including collections, exhibitions, education, and social media.
