Reception: Thursday, October 12th from 7:00- 9:00 pm In 2004 a rare opportunity presented itself when a leader of the “Creativity Movement,” a virulent white supremacist organization, defected and presented the Montana Human Rights Network with 4000 manuscripts used as promotional material. The Network then partnered with Holter Museum of Art, in Helena Montana, and with artists in transforming these hateful documents into something beautiful. A group of 39 diverse artists came together and used the anti-Semitic and racist books to create uplifting and dynamic works of art. Speaking Volumes is a stunning exhibition that challenges and moves visitors with its thought provoking and occasionally humorous collection of artwork.
