Join members of the community for a roundtable discussion about the work of artist and educator Edward Navone. He was professor of art at Washburn University from 1964 to 2007, and professor emeritus until his death in 2024. Over the decades, he inspired numerous students to engage with art through his demonstrations, lectures, and study abroad programs. He was also a prolific artist who was constantly driven to create.
Former students, friends, and colleagues will discuss his artistic practice, educational approach, and cultural contributions. The conversation will be moderated by Connie Gibbons, guest curator of CANVAS AND PAPER and Director Emeritus of the Mulvane Art Museum.
