Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  1. How do I make a bid?
    Go to https://mulvaneartauction2021.ggo.bid. You must register and input your credit card information in order to bid on artwork.  You will only be charged if you are the winning bidder, or if you make a donation.

  2. How do I make a donation?
    On the auction website, click on the cash donation tile in the amount you wish to give and proceed from there.  You will first need to register with a credit card on file.

  3. Can I see the art in person?
    Yes!  You can view the artwork up for bid in the Rita Blitt Gallery on the Washburn University campus at 17th & Jewell Avenues.  Gallery hours are 12 to 7 Tuesdays and 12 to 5 Wednesday through Friday.

  4. Can I view the art on-line without registering?
    Yes!  Simply visit https://mulvaneartauction2021.ggo.bid.

  5. How do I access the Live Event?
    You can watch the livestream program on the Mulvane Art Museum’s YouTube channel or link to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z13bWP8Fc58 on Friday, June 4 at 6:00 pm CST.  View the event on your laptop, I-Pad, personal computer, or TV, so you can bid on your smartphone while watching.

  6. When does the auction close?
    The auction closes at 8:00 pm CST on Friday, June 4.

  7. How do I know if I am the winning bidder?
    When the auction closes, your credit card will be automatically charged if you have won an item and/or made a donation.  You will be sent a text and email notification with confirmation of your payment.

  8. How do I know if I’ve been outbid?
    You will receive a text message and email notification if you are outbid on an item.

  9. What if I do not want to receive text messages?
    You may opt out of receiving auction text messages by replying STOP.  However, you will not receive text notifications if you are outbid, or if you have won an item.  NOTE:  do not reply to text messages—they will not go through and will not be seen.

  10. How do I use the maximum bid function?
    Once you place your initial bid, you can set a “Max Bid.”  Enter the highest price you are willing to pay for the item and the system will automatically bid incrementally for you until that amount is reached.  You will be notified by text if someone bids above your max bid, and you can then bid again, if you’d like.

  11. How do I pick up the item I’ve won?
    If you live in the Topeka area, you may pick up your artwork the week after the auction during business hours:  Monday – Friday 9 am to 5 pm.  If you need to make other arrangements, or if you live outside the Topeka area and need the artwork to be shipped, contact kristin.chanay@washburn.edu, or call 785-670-1124.  Note:  you are responsible for the cost of shipping the artwork.

Purchasing and Shipping Terms

The purchaser is responsible for all shipping expenses, which will be charged to the card on file with your account.
